Crypto scams have gotten more sophisticated, but most still follow recognizable patterns. Here are the ones worth knowing.
Phishing sites/DMs – Fake wallet or exchange login pages designed to steal your credentials or seed phrase.
"Guaranteed returns" DMs – Anyone promising fixed, guaranteed, or unusually high returns is almost always running a scam.
Rug pulls – A new token pumps on hype, then the creators drain liquidity and disappear.
Impersonation accounts – Fake support accounts or "project team" profiles that DM you first are a major red flag.
Fake wallet apps – Malicious apps in official-looking app stores designed to steal funds the moment you import a wallet.

The golden rule: never share your seed phrase with anyone, ever, under any circumstance — no legitimate support team will ever ask for it.

Has anyone here nearly fallen for one of these? What tipped you off in time?
