Choosing a CMS is one of the first major decisions for any new site, and the "best" one depends entirely on what you're actually building.
WordPress – Still the default choice for most content-driven sites: huge plugin ecosystem, tons of hosting support, and the largest community if you get stuck. Can get bloated if you install too many plugins.
Shopify – The clear choice if the site is primarily an online store and you don't want to manage hosting/security yourself.
Webflow – Great for design-heavy marketing sites where visual control matters more than a plugin ecosystem.
Headless CMS (Contentful, Strapi, etc.) – Makes sense once you need the same content powering multiple platforms (web, app, etc.), at the cost of more setup complexity.

For most beginners building a blog, business site, or small store, WordPress remains the path of least resistance — not because it's technically the best, but because of how much documentation and support exists for literally any problem you'll run into.

What CMS are you currently running, and would you choose it again if starting over?
